“The Father has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the Kingdom of His Dear Son.” Colossians 1:13
“Walk strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long suffering with joyfulness, giving thanks unto the Father who has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who has delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son in whom we have redemption.” Colossians 1:11-14
“The glory-strength God gives…it is the strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who made us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that He has for us. God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He has set us up in the kingdom of the Son He loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. We look at this Son and see God.” Colossians 1:11-15, The Message
Dear One, There has been enough said by our Father that all men can walk in Truth and in the Light of Life – and now He has given us the task of being His ambassadors of this, His Spoken Word whose Name is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Eternal God, the Life, the Truth and the Way.
What are you going through today? Enough has been said to give you infinite hope and power and joy in the middle of that circumstance. Our need is to listen, and when we listen, truly listen, we will hear – for enough has already been said to restore us to the experience of the Truth in the middle of your situation and of mine.
That is what this Tune Up today is about – that God has spoken, and that what He has spoken is enough for us – if we will have ears to hear. This is that Eternal Word that you and I need to freshly hear every day of our life or we will not hear the Good News that is the true Joy of our moments and days. Right now you can hear this Good News. Hear Him again, now in the following article on the glorious Good News, this Living Word of your Father and God who is eternally Enough. May you hear with believing faith, and hearing you will know Life and Life abundantly – now. Enough said.
Dear Friend, You are a radiant center of divine love. You are constantly radiating God’s love or good wherever you go. Divine love is always expressed as light. Dear one, you truly I are the love-light of Christ in a world that is shrouded in darkness. The good news is that God has chosen you as His ambassador to deliver the world from its prison of darkness.
You ask, “How is this deliverance to be accomplished?” That freedom, my friend, has already been purchased. It’s the knowledge of that freedom that you will bring to others. “Freedom from what?” you ask. God’s love brings freedom from the despair and hopelessness of the trials, circumstances, and situations of life. It brings freedom from the evil of sickness, the ignorance of poverty, and the blackness of despair engendered by depression.
You may well ask, “If I am God’s ambassador, how am I to bring about this great deliverance’?” Fear not, my friend, for the work is already finished. Know that our Father God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into the world to liberate the world, and that work is finished.
You may well ask, “If the work is finished why does it not appear so? Why should I be sent as an ambassador?” The answer, of course, is that the world as a whole does not know that it has been delivered out of darkness or even that it is in darkness.
I am sure that your next question is “Well, if Jesus Christ delivered the world, and they still don’t know, what can I do?” Dear Friend, let me clear up this apparent enigma. Jesus said, “…Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you,- but if I go, I will send him to you. ” (John 16:7) Why was it so important? Well, He had been teaching the people that He was one with the Father, and that the Father was one with Him, and that, indeed, we are one with them both when we come to be born of His Spirit through the gift of faith. He also knew that they could not know this truth until it was revealed by the Holy Spirit, the Counselor. Jesus told the people that they would know this truth on the Day of Pentecost, for that was the day the Counselor would come. “On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.”(John 14:20) That is why Jesus Christ concluded His ministry with this prayer, that we all may be one. “Father, just as you are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”(John 17:21)
When we accept Jesus Christ He becomes our only life, our only identity, for we are now His expression. This knowing has set us free from all the cares of this world. Now that we know the truth, we become Christ’s ambassador proclaiming the truth, that He is our only life. It is the knowing of that truth that overcomes the world, and we truly become a radiant center of divine love expressed as light dispelling all darkness. Because of Him.
